Rob: Hardscape/Construction Lead
Rob is entering his fifth year with Land’s Best. With over 15 years experience in carpentry, and 10 years landscaping, he is an invaluable asset to the company. Rob can be found on all landscape projects, adding his expertise, creativity and eye for details to create unique landscape installations. On the personal side, it’s hard to find a better guy to spend the workdays with. Honest, reliable, trustworthy, hardworking, dependable, only begin to describe Rob. A great sense of humor makes for endless laughs, and an un-ending knowledge of movies & trivia help pass the day. I can’t wait to see what touches of skill & creativity he adds to our new projects!
Casey: Maintenance/Softscape Lead
Casey joined the team in 2019 and made an instant impact. He has a degree in horticulture from the NSAC, and over 20 years experience in the green industry, including golf course work and small business owner. Recently retired from a managerial position at Michelin, Casey was looking to return to his true passion of landscaping. He shows this everyday, with his high quality of work, attention to detail, extensive landscaping knowledge, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Our maintenance customers are thrilled with his work, often telling me their property has never looked better! 💪 I have to agree, as he's also taken on the role of "the finish guy" on larger hardscape jobs.
Laura: BSc, MSc - Administration
When we decided to start a family, we made the decision to follow one career path. This decision would allow Laura to raise our family, and work from home to help Land’s Best grow and diversify. Our plan went into action mid way through the summer of 2019, and we haven’t looked back. With her background in Science and Agriculture, it has been an easy transition into the horticulture and landscape industry. Laura’s enthusiasm for learning & organizational skills have positively transformed and improved the efficiency of the office side of the business. Her creativity will be on display this summer with jobsite photos and social media posts.
Brandon
At the ripe old age of 18, Brandon is the complete opposite of all the criticisms of the next generation of workers, and continually impresses us old guys with his work ethic. He’s always at the shop on time (6am or earlier for most of the summer), regularly putting in 12hr days. His end of day truck naps 😴 are well earned! Brandon is always eager to learn new skills, and accomplishes his tasks with attention to detail. Whether he’s carrying bricks, running the equipment 🚜 or loading the job trailer at the end of the day, he’s always willing to do whatever it takes to complete the job. Brandon has been a great team member over the last 4 years, and we look forward to working with him again this summer!
